1. Who we are

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Codex Electric website at codexelectricmd.com, our phone and SMS systems, and the electrical services we provide. “Codex Electric,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to Callahan Electrical Services LLC, a Maryland limited liability company operating under the Codex Electric brand.

By calling our number, submitting the callback form, or hiring us for work, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service area and licensing

Codex Electric provides licensed electrical contracting services within Maryland, principally in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, and Anne Arundel County. All work is performed under the applicable Maryland Master Electrician license and in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local amendments. Permits are pulled when required by code.

3. Estimates and quotes

Estimates are provided after an on-site or over-the-phone assessment and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing. Estimates may be adjusted if conditions discovered during work materially differ from the information available at the time of estimate; any such changes will be disclosed before additional work proceeds.

4. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due upon completion of work. We accept the payment methods listed on our invoice. Late payments may incur interest to the extent allowed by Maryland law.

5. Warranties

We warrant our workmanship for one (1) year from the date of completion. Manufacturer warranties on parts and fixtures are passed through to you. We do not warrant equipment supplied by the customer or pre-existing wiring not within the scope of the job.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Maryland law, Codex Electric's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount paid by you for the work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. SMS Program Terms

These SMS Program Terms apply to any text messages sent by Codex Electric to a phone number you have provided and for which you have consented to receive SMS.

How to opt outReply STOP to any Codex Electric SMS message to opt out of all future messages. Opt-out requests are honored immediately.

Supported carriersAT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and other major US carriers and their MVNOs.
Carrier liabilityCarriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Mobile data sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

8. Phone call recording and AI receptionist

Calls to (410) 339-8878 are answered by an AI phone receptionist operating on our behalf. Call audio and transcripts are processed to route your request to the appropriate electrician. By continuing the call you consent to this processing. You may ask to speak with a human by requesting a callback.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Baltimore, Maryland.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
